The conference will take place at Riga Technical University located in the heart of Riga’s historical centre. The venue is only in 5 minutes walking distance from Riga Airport shuttle bus stop, central railway station and other important public transportation lines. It is surrounded by many hotels and hostels.
The taxi information is available at the Riga Airport website. We strongly recommend using the taxi companies mentioned in this web site.
The public transportation is provided by Rigas Satiksme. Single trip ticket at the kiosk costs Ls 0.5 and Ls 0.7 at the bus.
If you have purchased airplane tickets from Air Baltic remember to check-in prior to the flight (otherwise they charge extra). During the conference, we will provide facilities for printing out your boarding passes.
The Latvian currency is Latvian Lat. 1 lat is approximately EUR 1.4. Only Lats are generally accepted at stores and restaurants while you can also pay with major credit cards in majority of places.
The average temperature in November is +3-5°C and do not forget your umbrella.

The Riga city lies on the coast of the Baltic Sea at the Latvia’s largest river’s Daugava delta and is located only 20 km from the most famous Latvian resort Jurmala. The city is known for its architecture which makes it one of the largest centers of Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) in Europe
